Stop & Be Present: Enjoy Life In The Now

Sometimes we go through life without actually living. I mean, we are alive and breathing. But, not living. We find ourselves going through the motions with our daily lives and forget to take out time to enjoy simple & precious moments in life.

I find this strange, because it seems easy to take out time and think about some of our most unsatisfying moments. Why though?  Let’s not dwell on it and save it for another blog.  I decided to write this blog as a quick reminder to stop and be present with simple moments. I will not take up much of your time. Let’s carry on.

Life has its ups and downs and ends and outs but though it all, there are precious moments that we take for granted because we have these wonderful, somewhat even fairytailic (ok, I just made that up but hopefully you know where I am trying to go with that lol) moments made up in our mind that will make everything alright or make life feel right. Usually, they are not reachable or attainable.

They cause us to miss out on precious moments that are happening in our life presently. Sometimes our schedules are so fast pace until we forget to savor simple moments. We may even know that we need to slow down but due to lack of practice in this area. We tend to not be aware of how beneficial it is to our well-being.

I hope this blog serves as a reminder to slow down and enjoy moments of stillness and help you to give in to simple moments.  Did you have your cup of deliciousness this morning or fav breakfast item? I currently drink Chai tea latte in the morning. I try to get up earlier enough so I will have time to sit down and enjoy the taste of it and stillness of doing just that.

So if you usually get your fav pick me up morning drink and breakfast to go, try to give yourself an extra few minutes in the morning to stop, sit, & enjoy the drink & your food with stillness before your day start.

It may seem miniscule in theory but those few extra minutes of enjoying the moment can make a ton of difference regarding how your day start and equip that with the enjoyment of simple moments (self-care) throughout the day can result in a better life over time.
