Hey loves, how is the weather? We finally got some snow here in south Texas. It only lasted for the night but it was great to see it for that little while. It was perfect for my vegan hot chocolate.
It is important to be aware of what you are putting in your body. You want to see life and situations with your best (fancy) eyes so you can make the best decision for you. And in order to do that effectively, you have to give your body what it needs to function at its highest level.
As I was working on the meal plan for the next week, I began to think about what has been the most helpful in my healthy eating routine. Snacks come to mind. I decided to start documenting healthy snacks that I find on here.
Let me start with the sweet potato fries and guacamole. This is my jam. It doesn’t matter if I am wanting a snack or meal. I use it for both. It is just that goood to me.
I wasn’t really a humus fan until this journey. It’s not that I didn’t like it. I never thought to eat it. But I am loving what it has to offer to my taste buds now. Add your fav veggies and you have a snack full of healthiness.
Now with this next snack. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I found it at whole foods. It’s a no dairy yogurt (made with almond milk). Guess what though? It surprised me big time in a great way. Add some fruits and granola with some Netflix and you are good to go. Okay, maybe not Netflix lol. Substitute that with your fav thing to do for leisure time.
Now wraps can be used for a snack or meal. It just depends on what you are going to do with them. Since I love the avocado spring roll, I like to use the same ingredients (avocados, carrots, & cucumbers) in them on a bed of lettuce and dip them in some peanut sauce. Yum yum!
I just started eating kale chips. I must admit that they taste alright. Not at the top of my list but they get the job done. Maybe it’s this flavor that I am not caring for. I don’t know. I will keep trying different flavors and see how it goes.
What are some healthy snacks you snack on?
Until next time
